About our School

Welcome to our updated web site. We hope you will find the information you are looking for.

High schools in Region VI have recognized the importance of professional-technical training to enhance and link high school programs with Post secondary education.  Since 1983, the school districts and the Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) have worked together to make the expensive programs available to all students.  In 1998, a Cooperative Service Agency was formed to provide the governance structure for the Professional-Technical High School.  There were five programs offered to students in 1998.  That number has grown to 17.

A consortium consisting of Bonneville Joint School District #93, Firth School District #59, Idaho Falls School District #91, Ririe Joint School District #252, Shelley Joint School District #60, and the Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) works together to help students connect with their futures by offering several classes at different locations.  Think of the Eastern Idaho Professional-Technical High School (EIP-THS) as "a school without a place."  Students attend classes where they are offered.  For example, a Skyline High School student who wants to take a class in Health Professions will travel to EITC (where the classes are held) and a Bonneville High School student who wants to take Robotics will travel to Hillcrest High School.  This enables all students within the consortium to take classes that would not otherwise be available at their "home" high school.

The programs offered through the Eastern Idaho Professional-Technical High School (EIP-THS) challenge and guide students toward their potential, preparing them to enter the workplace or pursue post-secondary technical training, associate degree, or a FAC degree.  It is also a wonderful way for students to explore opportunities BEFORE they pay tuition costs and invest valuable time at a post-secondary institution.
