Mission Statement:

It is the goal of the Counseling Department to empower all students to grow in self-understanding, self-responsibility, decision-making ability, and attainment of the attitudes and skills required to become productive citizens in our society.

Objectives:

It is the desire of the guidance and counseling program to achieve following objectives:

1. To provide information on career vocational choices and the training and programs available to students.
   
2. To provide an appropriate pupil appraisal and record service.
   
3. To provide group guidance activities when needed.
   
4. To provide counseling that will assist students to make realistic choices and assist students in their development of self-understanding and self-acceptance.
   
5. To act as a liaison amoung administrators, staff, students and community.
   
6. To work with teachers, parents, and students to help student make satisfactory adjustments in vocational programs and academic classes.
   
7. To act as a resource person for students desiring information about or referral to external institutions and agencies, either educational or social.
   
8. To assist students in academic and vocational program selection.
