Mission Statement:
It is the goal of the Counseling Department to empower all students to grow in self-understanding, self-responsibility, decision-making ability, and attainment of the attitudes and skills required to become productive citizens in our society.
Objectives:
It is the desire of the guidance and counseling program to achieve following objectives:
- To provide information on career vocational choices and the training and programs available to students.
- To provide an appropriate pupil appraisal and record service.
- To provide group guidance activities when needed.
- To provide counseling that will assist students to make realistic choices and assist students in their development of self-understanding and self-acceptance.
- To act as a liaison amoung administrators, staff, students and community.
- To work with teachers, parents, and students to help student make satisfactory adjustments in vocational programs and academic classes.
- To act as a resource person for students desiring information about or referral to external institutions and agencies, either educational or social.
- To assist students in academic and vocational program selection.
