Parking at Fox Hollow

“CHILDREN AND PARKING LOTS DON'T MIX!”

Dropping Off Your Child at School

The District has installed a traffic loop for parents to dropoff and pickup their children before and after school. The intent of this loop is to help prevent accidents between cars and children at school. We need every parent to help make this work! It is essential that parents do not use the parking lots to dropoff or pickup their children. Our instructions to the students are to never walk in the parking lots. That is a school rule. The reason for this rule is to keep all children safe. Danger from automobiles is a threat to children’s safety. Please read and follow these procedures for safely delivering your child to/from school:

  1. Drop your child off in traffic loop on the northwest side of the school on Genevieve Way. Do not park or leave your car unattended in this area. Traffic is one-way in the traffic loop from west to east. Staff will be on duty before and after school to assist as needed.
  2. When children arrive at school, they will use the sidewalk to walk to the south side of the building. They line up and wait for the bell to ring. If children are late, they may enter the building through the northwest door on the same side of the building as the traffic loop. It will be unlocked until 8:15. Due to congestion from Preschool buses, children should not use the east (front) door before and after school.
  3. Do not drive into the east parking lot (front of the school), because the busses for children with disabilities (age 3 to 5) use this area as a bus zone.
  4. Daycare vans (usually transporting several children), also use the east parking lot to drop off children at school. These children will go to the south side of the building to line up and wait for the bell. This will reduce traffic in the traffic loop area.
