Idaho Falls School District 91 has 12 elementary schools serving students in grades K through 6, including a math and science magnet school that provides in-depth instruction in those subjects.
Our teachers and staff strive to provide students with a culture that empowers, instruction that engages and technology that enables. The focus in Idaho Falls School District 91 is on individual student growth, and our staff is dedicated to helping every child become a lifelong learner.
The curriculum in our schools is aligned with state and national standards and is designed to provide students with the foundation they need to be successful in high school, college and the world of work. We strive to provide engaging, hands-on instruction. In science, students use an inquiry based curriculum that encourages students to learn and solve problems by conducting experiments. Students in grades 4-6 study social studies using simulation activities designed to give them a deeper understanding of major historical events.
Elementary school students in our district receive instruction in P.E., music and technology. The district also offers a number of programs catering to students’ unique needs, such as a gifted and talented program; programs for children with special needs and programs for students with limited proficiency in English.
