Suicide Prevention is important to Skyline High School. 

  • Sources of Strength is a suicide prevention program that is run through our school.
  • The counseling office trains our building in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) to be able to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to refer them to get help. QPR is a nationally accredited suicide prevention tool.
  • Our Sources of Strength Peer Leaders are all trained in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer).
  • Our teachers are all trained in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer).

Worried about a friend AND at school? Go immediately to your school counselor.

Worried about a friend AND out of school? Call that friend’s parents. Not sure how to contact the parents? Call 911 in emergency situations.
