D91 Changes Quarantine Periods updated

Idaho Falls School District 91 is changing its quarantine requirements for students and staff who have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 to align with the new CDC guidance. D91 will now allow students and/or staff who have been quarantining because of close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 to return to school/work:

  • After 10 days as long as they have not experienced any symptoms while on quarantine.
  • After 7 days if they have a negative test AND have not experienced any symptoms while on quarantine. CDC advises tests may be conducted 48 hours before the end of the quarantine period in anticipation of testing delays, but the quarantine period must be at least seven days.

The isolation period for students and/or staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 has not changed. Students and/or staff should isolate for 10 days from symptom onset in accordance with health guidance. Click here to see COVID-19 Data (Updated Dec. 3), which is updated as cases are confirmed with Eastern Idaho Public Health. D91’s COVID Operational Response Plan

10 Parents Allowed At Winter Sports basketball

Update: Nov. 18 ... We recognize how important it is for parents to watch their children compete on the field or on the court so we have re-evaluated D91's new guidelines regarding spectators at winter sports. With Gov. Brad Littles’ recent Stay Healthy Order, public and private gatherings, including extracurricular events, are limited to 10 people plus athletes and essential personnel. Effective today, 10 parents will be allowed in the gymnasium to watch home games/matches. Cheerleaders will have the opportunity to perform during halftime. Learn More about the processWe will continue monitoring conditions and make further adjustments as needed. Please do your part to support our athletes by following the local health guidance. Stay home when you are sick, experiencing symptoms or awaiting test results. Stay six feet apart from others. Wear a mask.
