The Board of Trustees has received the final report on the Master Facilities Plan, which will shape efforts to update and modernize D91’s schools. The board will now review the five recommendations included in the plan: Changing grade configurations to K-5 and 6-8; doing renovations, demolition and new construction at Idaho Falls High School; doing renovation and new construction at Skyline High School, building a Career & Technical Education Center and rebuilding/repurposing Temple View and Linden Park elementary schools. Some of the issues the board will be discussing as it determines the best way forward include: setting a bond amount, setting an election for the bond, working on long-term projects while still addressing ongoing maintenance needs.
