Yellowstone National Park Trips

Dear Taylorview Parents/Guardians,

We are so excited to have the opportunity to take our 7th graders on a field trip to Yellowstone National Park this year! We will be scheduling a separate day for each 7th grade team. Please read through the following information carefully, and contact your child’s teachers if you have any questions or concerns.

Time Schedule for Each Field Trip Day

Arrive at school at regular time

by 8:35 a.m.

(not before 8:00 a.m.)

Pick up school sack lunches in cafeteria (if your child pre-ordered a sack lunch)

  *Regular school lunch prices apply.

  *If not ordering a school sack lunch, please plan to pack your own lunch.


8:15 a.m.

Students report to 1st hour class when bell rings

8:35 a.m.

Teachers will take attendance and start loading busses

8:40 a.m.

Leave for Yellowstone

8:50 a.m.

Return to Taylorview

*Parents pick up their child in front of the school at Taylorview @ 6:30 p.m.

*Please plan to be on time to pick up your child.


6:30 p.m.

*No sandals or open-toed shoes









*Please discuss the safety issues unique to Yellowstone National Park with your child prior to his/her field trip date, including the importance of staying at least 100 feet away from wildlife, staying on boardwalks and trails, listening to and following all directions from teachers and chaperones and always staying with his/her group.
